Our identity

A creative studio shaped by craft

Baizedka is a small design studio working alongside independent makers, artisans, and small brands. We build visual identities that carry the same care and honesty as the objects they represent. Our work starts with listening to how a brand talks about itself, then translates that voice into a coherent system of logos, packaging, and social presence.

01

Who we are

A team of two designers with backgrounds in editorial design and art direction. We work slowly, in small batches, and we prefer long conversations over quick templates.

We believe good design comes from understanding materials, not just trends.
02

Who we work with

Ceramicists, textile makers, small-batch food producers, independent publishers, and digital artisans who want their online presence to feel as considered as their products.

Our clients care about the details most people never notice.
03

How we think

Every project begins with a brand narrative analysis. We look at the story behind the product, the materials used, and the people who make it. Only then do we sketch, test, and refine.

Identity is not a logo. It is the sum of every small choice.
04

What we avoid

We do not use generic templates, stock brand books, or one-size-fits-all color palettes. Each identity is built from scratch, with a palette and typography chosen specifically for the brand's context.

If it feels like it could belong to anyone, it belongs to no one.
05

Our tone

Direct, calm, and practical. We write the way we design: no filler, no jargon, no promises we cannot keep. Clients know exactly what they are getting and when.

Clear communication is part of the design process.
06

Why it matters

Small brands often compete with companies that have bigger budgets and louder campaigns. A coherent visual identity levels the field. It signals care, consistency, and confidence.

People remember how a brand makes them feel, not how much it spent.

From the first sketch to a steady studio

Baizedka started in 2019 as a one-desk practice between two ceramic workshops in Shah Alam. What began with logo drafts for local potters slowly became a full creative studio, shaped by the same hands-on discipline we now offer to every client.

2019 — A desk in a shared workshop

The first projects were small: a stamp for a soap maker, a label for a honey jar, a business card for a furniture restorer. No contracts, just a notebook and a clear rule — every mark had to feel like it came from the same hands as the product.

2021 — The packaging question

Clients kept asking the same thing: how do we wrap this without plastic? We tested recycled papers, plantable cards and cloth wraps with three local brands. The findings shaped our sustainable packaging guide, still the most requested document in the studio.

2023 — A second pair of hands

Adriana joined full-time after two years of freelance collaboration. Her background in editorial layout changed how we present case studies and how we structure brand guidelines. The studio moved to its current space on Jalan Gasing, with room for material samples and client meetings.

2024 — A shared visual language

We formalised the way we talk about identity: a three-step method that starts with the maker's story, moves through material and texture, and ends with a system that works on a label, a screen and a shipping box. The method is now the backbone of every project, from a single logo to a full rebrand.

2025 — The studio today

We work with about a dozen small brands a year, keeping the caseload low on purpose. Each project still gets the same attention as the first honey jar label: a clear story, a restrained palette, and a system that the maker can actually maintain without a design team.

The hands behind the studio

We are a small team of designers and art directors who work directly with makers, ceramicists, and independent brands. No account managers, no hand-offs — the people you meet are the ones who shape your identity.

Art Direction & Brand Strategy

Adriana Romero Rivera

Adriana leads the visual direction for each project, starting with a deep dive into your materials, process, and the story behind your workshop. She has spent the last nine years building identities for small-batch producers across Italy and Spain, with a focus on packaging that feels as honest as the product inside.

Logo & Identity Design

Andres Lopez Sanchez

Andres translates brand values into marks, typography, and graphic systems that work across labels, social profiles, and printed matter. He has a background in editorial design and a habit of sketching on tracing paper before touching a screen. His work has been featured in two independent design publications.

Packaging & Sustainable Materials

Marta Bianchi

Marta advises on paper stocks, inks, and structural packaging that reduce waste without compromising the unboxing experience. She previously coordinated production for a certified B Corp packaging supplier and now helps our clients choose materials that match their budget and their environmental commitments.

Social Media & Content Strategy

Luca Ferraro

Luca builds content calendars and visual guidelines for Instagram and Pinterest, helping artisans show their process without resorting to generic trends. He has worked with over thirty small brands, from olive oil producers to linen weavers, and knows how to turn a workshop floor into a compelling story.
